Gaddafi took control of Libya after a bloodless coup on September 1, 1969. Although his rule effectively ended when Tripoli fell on August 22, 2011, Gaddafi clung to power with remnants of his army until his death today after 42 years of rule.
The
Chart for the death of Muammar Gaddafi is for 7:30 AM (which is 8:30 AM
Libyan time, 0630 GMT). The only configuration in the Chart is a
single opposition. Gaddafi was killed by fighters who were called
"the opposition." The Almighty God in Aries, for a Commander, was
in opposition to the Savior Planet in Libra, which signifies Libya being
delivered. The Savior Planet was in conjunction with the Morning
Star on the Ascendant, for a herald, music, and celebration. Heralds
immediately broadcast Gaddafi's death around the world, and there were
celebrations across Libya.
The Sun was rising in Libra, for Sovereign power and authority of the new Libya. Libra corresponds to Libya. The Moon was in Cancer, to symbolize security over a group. After Gaddafi's fall, the new Libyan Transition Council will be responsible for providing security for the nation. Also rising in Libra were the Morning Star and Savior Planet in conjunction. The pair of planets added more power to the significance of the sign of Libra as the symbol of a herald and deliverance in the Chart. Aries with the Almighty God Planet, for a Commander, was setting. Gaddafi was the Commander and Dictator of Libya.
The Red Planet was in conjunction with Midheaven to symbolize a famous captive, namely Gaddafi, who was captured alive and then killed. The Bottom of Heaven, IC, was in Capricornus, for dying in sins. Gaddafi died an unbeliever.
The Last Adam was in Sagittarius, for an enemy attack, which corresponds to Gaddafi's last battle.
The Redeemer Planet in Aquarius symbolizes the good news of redemption from the dictatorial rule of Gaddafi. Aquarius also corresponds to the culvert where Gaddafi was captured as well as the nearby Mediterranean Sea.
The Mediator Planet in Pisces symbolizes the Throne of Grace from which the Lord Jesus Christ ordered the end of Gaddafi. And the God of the Covenants Planet in Virgo symbolizes a caretaker, corresponding to the emergency services personnel who assisted the injured and will handle the burying of the dead.
The Libyan revolution is generally credited with starting on February 17. Benghazi fell to the opposition protesters on February 20. February 17 has a symbolic association with the day the Noahic Flood began on the 17th day of the 2nd month (Gen 7:11). The Sheriff responsible for killing the wild animals turned loose by Terry Thompson said the scene of dead animals scattered around reminded him of Noah's Ark.
