Government workers didn't show up for work. A few Iraqi soldiers did some shooting but quickly ran away or were killed or captured. US tanks drove unopposed into the town squares on the east bank of the Tigris River. When local militia and guards saw the crowds coming out, they quickly left in disgrace. The Iraqi minister to the United Nations said, "The game is over," i.e. the war. A statue of Saddam Hussein was pulled down to the cheers of the people in Fardus square in front of the Palestine Hotel where foreign journalists are staying.
Crowds poured into the streets to greet the US forces as liberators. They danced and chanted in the streets. Then, with the army defeated and civil authority gone, they looted and walked away with everything in sight. The war that began on March 20th (Day 79) saw the collapse of the Saddam Hussein regime 20 days later on April 9th (Day 99). The number, 9, is for the Plagues of Egypt, and 99 means almost but not quite. The war isn't over because there are still pockets of resistance and enemy divisions in the north. However, the evaporation of Iraqi resistance in Baghdad was a welcome blessing in a miraculous military campaign.
Baghdad fell like the other cities, without a real fight. The Iraqi Army never functioned as a military force. The war was like a match between a professional and a Little League team. The casualty ration of Iraqis to US was at times 1,000 to 1. This was a fulfillment of the divine promise of the Cycles of Blessing of the Client Nation from Bible Doctrine in the land (Leviticus 26:7-8).

The scene on the weather map portrayed an elephant along the eastern seaboard with a trunk that stretched through Florida. The trunk of the elephant extended to the Yucatan and later to the corner of the Yucatan. Later, there also appeared to be a small animal (like a calf) in the mouth of the elephant. An elephant represents a demon Commander, such as Baal.
As the elephant passed through Florida today, there were high winds, hail, and at least one funnel cloud.
The Iraqi resistance in Baghdad collapsed, and US troops were welcomed by the people. This was yet another demonstration of the grace of God in this war. Baghdad collapsed on April 9th, for the Plagues of Egypt, which delivered Israel from bondage in Egypt. Baghdad, like Babylon, has been the enemy of Israel. And, like Babylon, Iraq was toppled by a nation other than Israel. Allah's support for Saddam Hussein's dictatorship evaporated in the face of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Those who trusted in Allah and Bel lost everything, while those who trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ marched to victory.
In battle after battle it was obvious that the Lord have given victory to the US Coalition. The operational precision of Coalition forces set a new standard of battlefield excellence. The Cycles of Blessing of a Client Nation were obvious as the enemy was put to flight (Leviticus 26:7-8). The terrorists were terrorized.
A weather elephant stretched along the east coast and through Florida. An elephant represents a demon Commander, such as Baal. As the elephant cut through US cities, it represented the advance of the Forward Line of Troops (FLOT) in Iraq. The Spiritual War precedes the temporal war. The trunk of the elephant was through Florida, and there was some severe weather in Florida tonight. There were thunderstorms in Florida as the weather angels portrayed the battle. Florida is responsible for air and sea defense. The Navy and Air Force played a major part in the Iraq War. Florida has also been associated with the Palestinian issue. The fall of Saddam Hussein will cut off some of the major funding for Palestinian terrorism.
Later tonight the elephant appeared to have a small animal in its mouth. This represented a lop-sided war between a giant and a baby, which characterized the US defeat of Iraq.
This was April 9th, for the Plagues of Egypt. Saddam Hussein fell like Egypt fell. The Lord fights for Israel. The defeat of Iraq had more to do with Israel than the USA. Iraq was much more of a threat to Israel than to the USA. And it was Day 99, for almost but not quite. The Iraq War is almost but not quite over.
