Links: | Miami Herald | CNN |August 2 (Day 214, Passover): A commuter ferry and a cargo ship collided off Eleuthera in the Bahamas. Four people were killed when a crane toppled over on the ferry. Seven are missing and 16 injured. The 98-foot Sea Hauler ferry with 194 passengers hit the 178-foot cargo ship, the United Star, with 11 onboard about 9 miles southwest of Eleuthera island about 1 AM EDT (0500 GMT). The Sea Hauler was enroute to Cat Island for the Emancipation Day celebration, a three-day holiday marking the end of slavery in the former British colony in 1834. The number, 1834, stands for a pillar (18) of the division of the land (34). The two ships did not sink. They will be escorted back to Nassau.
Eleuthera is Greek for freedom. The Bahamas are islands off Florida, which is the region of Zebulun. The Bahamas represent the first line of defense of Client Nation USA. The Sea Hauler left Nassau last night. Yesterday, the SPC Storm graphic featured a picture of a ship, which is the symbol of salvation or deliverance (2 Peter 2:4-5).
