Winds were estimated at 60 knots. There was some flooding and power knocked out in New Orleans. Oil platforms in the Gulf were evacuated. Shrimp boats hit a bridge south of Leeville, which blocked the only highway into Grand Isle.

The fall on asphalt caused some scrapes on the President that had to be bandaged. And the bike was damaged such that he didn't continue his ride. Bush is in Scotland for the G-8 Summit. Scotland is in the region of Asher, royalty.
