September 9 (Day 252,
Wall): NASA successfully launched
the STS-115 Space Shuttle from Kennedy Space Center Florida at 11:14/55
AM EDT (1514/55 GMT) under partly cloudy skies. After several delays,
including a lightning strike and a partial rollback for Tropical Storm
Ernesto, it was the first launch of Orbiter Atlantis (OV-104) since October
2002. The STS-115 mission will resume assembly of the International
Space Station..
Mission Patch
The STS-115 Mission patch portrays the anniversary
two days from now of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the Twin
Towers in New York. The view is from Manhattan looking east over
the Atlantic ocean. The attack altered the Manhattan skyline.
The Space Station in the upper right also represents a helicopter flying
over the scene to view the damage. The Shuttle with Orbiter Atlantis
at the base of the patch represents the flaming missile of the Evil One
(Ephesians
6:16). Satan inspired the terrorist attack. The Sunburst
represents the impact of the airliner into the Twin Towers. The vapor
trails like horns at the base of the Shuttle pierce a ring to symbolize
adultery associated with Cosmic, Political, and Ecumenical Babylon of the
Satan's Cosmic System.
Conclusion
STS-115 was launched at 1514/55 GMT (11:14/55 EDT),
where the numbers mean: 11, a witness; 15, a covering; 14, the passover;
and 55, grace blessing in suffering. After a 13 day launch countdown,
launch was today on September 9, for the Plagues
of Egypt, Day 252, for a wall, which represents security. The
Orbiter Atlantis will be in space for the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist
attack on the US. Atlantis completed its last mission October 18,
2002, Day 291, for a coup de grace, a little over a year after 9-11-01.
And it resumed flight 9-9-06, Day 252, for security. The STS-115
mission patch portrays the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the Twin
Towers in New York City.
The launch today was significant in that it enabled
NASA to stay on schedule for completion of the Space Station. Many
obstacles had to be overcome to make the launch possible so that it could
be in place for the fifth anniversary of September 11, 2001. There
were delays from a lightning strike and Tropical Storm Ernesto,
where the naysayer antichrists were calling for a rollback. But God,
through His Sovereign Design for history, met His schedule. September
11, 2001 will be a significant anniversary that will be remembered
in history. Satan and his antichrists will celebrate while Christians
will mourn the loss.
