Ring of Light He was the Sun, the source of light. She was the Moon, reflecting light. His light was life, eternal truth. Her light was love, reflecting truth. His truth was great, born of virtue. Her love was strong, bearing his light. He gave her light, for she had none. She wore his light, and glowed with love. Then she arose to kill the Sun. And prove her love stronger than light. She stood before the Sun most High! To block his light and rule the world! But round the Moon a ring of light Made covenant with heaven and earth. She nailed Him to a cross of wood. He clothed her with the light of love. She came in dark and dreary night. He gave His bride a ring of light. She came to fight with all her might. He loved her with virtuous right. She took his love and made it night. He bore His bride in arms of light, Arose victor from deadly doom, Shining to light the honeymoon. His light now shines from heaven bright. Believe in Christ to have His light. So all can make the choice to see, To live with Christ eternally. Larry Wood, 3-22-97
